Hypopressives 1:1

Breathwork and posture to strengthen your core and reset your body

What are Hypopressives?

Hypopressives are a series of breathing and posture techniques designed to activate the deep muscles of the core and pelvic floor, reduce pressure on the abdominal organs, and promote a healthier, stronger body.

These exercises are especially effective in strengthening your pelvic floor after childbirth, supporting hormonal balance, and improving posture. They can also reduce tension in the back, relieve pelvic pain, and even aid in stress management.

What to Expect

In a one-to-one session, we’ll begin with a conversation to understand your unique goals and needs, whether you’re recovering from childbirth, looking to improve posture, or simply want to reconnect with your body in a deeper way.

Through a series of gentle, guided exercises focused on breathwork and alignment, you’ll learn how to engage and strengthen your core muscles in a way that supports your entire body. These are non-invasive exercises, designed to be done with presence, awareness, and ease.

Hypopressive sessions are available at Studio 6.02 at St Margaret’s House in Edinburgh.

Hypopressives for Women

Hypopressives are particularly helpful for women during transitional phases, like postpartum recovery, perimenopause, or menopause. As your body changes, these techniques support internal strength — giving you the confidence and foundation to move through these changes with more ease and grace.

Benefits May Include:

  • Strengthening of the core and pelvic floor
  • Improved posture and alignment
  • Enhanced hormonal balance and stress reduction
  • Relief from back pain and pelvic discomfort
